  • IEA Zone Specific Scholarships
    Deadline: August 15

    Sponsor: Interscholastic Equestrian Association

    Eligibility: Students must be active participants in an IEA zone, display outstanding sportsmanship, maintain academic excellence and portray and overall role model to the IEA membership. Each zone has varied selection criteria.

    How to apply: All zone applications are available online. Most zones require letters of recommendation, high school transcript and an essay.

  • National Sportsmanship Award
    Deadline: May 6
    Amount: Up to $500

    Sponsor: Interscholastic Equestrian Association

    Eligibility: Students must earn a Sportsmanship Award at a local, regional or zone IEA competition during the school year and maintain a 3.0 GPA. Selection is based on academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, equestrian participation and characteristics that portray good sportsmanship and a role model.

    How to apply: Riders who have earned a Sportsmanship Award at a lower level will be given an application for the national award. The application includes a 250-word essay, personal resume, copy of official transcript and three letters of recommendation.
