    Eligibility: Applicants must be U.S. citizen graduate students researching topics involving scholarship in Near Eastern studies. Recipients are required to engage in scholarly and cultural activities while residing at the American Center of Oriental Research (ACOR) in Jordan. The fellowships last from two to six months. The award includes room and board at ACOR, transportation, a stipend and research funds.

  • DAAD/AICGS Research Fellowship Program

    Amount: Up to $4,725 monthly stipend

    Eligibility: Applicants must have a Ph.D. or be enrolled in a Ph.D. program, hold German citizenship, be non-Germans who work/live permanently in Germany or work at one of the DAAD Centers around the globe. The grant provides a research stay of two-four months at AICGS.

  • John O. Crane Memorial Fellowship
    Deadline: December

    Eligibility: Applicants must be under the age of 36 and must have strong, credible ties to American society. They must propose an independent research project that would be conducted in Eastern Europe or the Middle East and be proficient in a native language that is commonly spoken in the proposed research site. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.
