    Eligibility: Applicants must be spouses or children of peace officers, firefighters or certain other safety officers who died in the line of duty anywhere in the United States. Applicants who are children and spouses of a member of the armed services of the US, who was killed in the line of duty during Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom or a combat zone designated by the President of the United States are also eligible for this this award. The applicant must be an Ohio resident and attend an Ohio college or university. The award covers full tuition and required fees at public institutions and a portion of tuition and fees at private institutions.
