    Eligibility: Applicants must be African American, Hispanic/Latino or American Indian and graduating high school seniors or college freshmen, sophomores or juniors enrolled full-time at an accredited institution. Students must major in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a chemically-related science and plan to work in a chemistry-related field. Those entering pre-med programs or pursuing pharmacy degrees are not eligible. A minimum GPA of 3.0 or "B" or better with high academic achievement in chemistry or science is required. Students must also demonstrate financial need through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

    Eligibility: Applicants must be active duty or honorably discharged enlisted soldiers in the U.S. Army or one of its affiliate entities (Army Reserve, National Guard, etc.). They must be accepted or enrolled at an accredited college or university and majoring in or planning to major in engineering or a related subject. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

An application form, two recommendation letters, applicant autobiography, an official transcript, a course of study outline, certificates of completion for other training courses (if applicable) and a copy of form DD-214 (for discharged soldiers) are required.

  • President's Scholarship

    Sponsor: The University of Texas at Tyler

    Eligibility: Applicants must be second-year students who achieved a 4.0 GPA during their first year of full-time consecutive enrollment in either the MHA, MPH or MS in biotechnology degree programs. The award covers the full cost of the student's tuition and fees (not to exceed 24 credit hours) during their second year of full-time study at UTHSCT. Presidential Scholars are recognized at commencement and presented with an honors cord for their academic achievements.
