RENY NCZ Annual
Scholarships for high school seniors
Each
year, the North Central Zone offers two
$1000 scholarships to high school seniors
who are planning to go to college with the
intent of entering the field of education.
The 2023 winners were presented with their
awards at our annual spring Scholarship
Luncheon held at the Ramada Inn in June

Hudson-Kramer Memorial Grant
for Educational Professionals
Every
two years, our Zone is given the opportunity
to award a grant for $1,000 that is provided
through RENY. Active teachers or administrators
are asked to apply to use for an innovative
project for their students. This grant
will help to fund a project or program that
could not otherwise be included within the school's
budget.
The recipients of the award for 2022 are
Shelly Peck and Deanna Henry from the
LaFargeville Central School.
As primary level technology teachers, they would
use the grant to implement the Blue-Bot class
into their elementary curriculum. Blue-Bots
are simple robots that can hold 200 commands,
creating interest and a foundation for future
coding activities. Both of these educators
were at our June 14 luncheon to receive the
grant monies. They are pictured at the
left with RENY State President Dr. James Newell
and RENY NCZ President Elwood "Woody" Lyndaker. |
