Brandon Wong & Associates Difference Makers Scholarship


Brandon Wong & Associates has negotiated, litigated, and mediated many complex family law cases over the years. This experience has provided Attorney Wong and his legal team with a new perspective on family and a greater understanding of the importance of community. Our San Antonio family law firm works tirelessly to ease the stress and concerns of our clients during emotional times, and we take pride in the difference we have been able to make in our clients’ lives over the years.

We are committed to our clients and passionate about making a positive impact in their lives. By offering the Brandon Wong & Associates Difference Makers Scholarship, our team of attorneys hope to reach students with similar principles. Twice a year, we offer students the opportunity to receive a scholarship of $1,000. This scholarship is intended to help deserving students who aspire to make positive changes in their communities.

Who Is Our Scholarship Available for?

Through our Difference Makers Scholarship, we intend to award students who we feel truly deserve the award because they have made it their mission to serve their community in a positive way. Eligible students must also meet this list of requirements:

Student is enrolled in an accredited university or college within the United States

Student is in their junior or senior year of college

Student is a United States citizen or permanent resident

What Does Our Scholarship Require?

To apply for the Difference Makers Scholarship, we ask students to submit contact information and proof of enrollment (examples: unofficial academic transcript, letter of acceptance/admittance, etc.). We also require that each student include a submission in the form of an essay (1,000 words or less) or video (5 minutes or less) answering the following prompt:

What is the best memory you have made while making a difference within your community? What positive changes do you hope to make in your community in the near future? Why do you think this type of service is important?

Essays will not be accepted after the May 27, 2024 deadline. Email scholarship@mwfamilylaw.com for any additional information.

How Will We Select Our Scholarship Recipients?

Our scholarship committee takes the evaluation process very seriously, and we ask for your patience while we take the time to review each application individually. Applications to the Difference Makers Scholarship will be judged based on the following factors:

Student meets the scholarship eligibility requirements

Originality, organization, and overall quality of student’s video or essay

Student’s demonstration of service to their community

A student at Texas A&M University, Jonathan has distinguished himself as an exemplary individual both in the classroom and the community. We are delighted to provide Johnathan with financial support as he continues to be a driving force for progress in everything he does.
