Scholarships

If you have exceptional academic, athletic or artistic talent; are a first-generation college student; plan to study in a particular academic field; are a member of underrepresented groups; or demonstrate financial need, you could be eligible for institutional, community or State scholarships. Like grants, scholarship awards do not require repayment.

Apply for IRSC Foundation Scholarships

The IRSC Foundation awards more than $3.5 million in scholarships annually to deserving students. For the Fall 2024/Spring 2025 academic year, the Foundation Scholarship Application opens January 1. Scholarships will be available until all funds are awarded. Earliest submissions are given priority as evaluated against scholarship criteria.

Visit irsc.student.awardedsoftware.com to apply.

Institutional Scholarships

These IRSC scholarships may be awarded to students based on academic achievement, athletic abilities, talent and financial need. Students must apply for admission and file a FAFSA to be considered for this type of aid.

Scholarship applications are available every October. Review the types of scholarships below and the application process for each type of scholarship. Scholarship recipients will receive an email through RiverMail with instructions on how to view their awards online. Make sure your RiverMail account is activated.

Satisfactory Academic Progress

Scholarship recipients must complete the required credit hours each semester and must complete each semester with the required grade point average as defined by the individual scholarship. If a student’s program requires less than full-time enrollment (i.e. Nursing, Health Science) or it is the student’s last semester, the scholarship recipient can request to be considered for a part-time award. These situations are handled by the Financial Aid Office on a case-by-case basis.
